ABOUT

Hello! I am Alex
​Rising Sun Holistic Health was born after years of obsession with what it means to live an abundant life with joy, ease and peace without having to turn into a monk sitting atop a mountain away from temptation and real life. Where good health and balance is a bounty to be discovered by all. The sun is radiance, it’s energy, it’s vitality, it’s growth. It rises every day and shines, despite what’s going on in this mad old world. And Rising Sun knows you can nurture these qualities in yourself too.
​I believe that health is more than just one yoga class, or a thousand lunges. We humans are complex, and so require a more holistic approach. Yes we must move the body but we must also slow the mind, have discernment with what we consume (internally and externally), and we must CONNECT wherever possible. Connect with our breath, connect with rest, connect with our community, connect with our sense of purpose, connect with our sense of play and connect with nature.​

I am a Personal Trainer, yoga and meditation teacher. I believe that it is possible for everyone to live with more health and juicy vitality through focusing not only on fitness, but mindfulness, meditation and a few key connections.
*My PT sessions are personalised, goal driven and adaptive to where you are at both in your fitness journey and on any given day.
*My yoga classes are gentle, fun and inclusive, catering for all abilities with a focus on opening up stiff, tired bodies and tuning into your breath.
*My meditation classes aim to help you hone your all powerful mind and tune into your true essence. I teach different styles, and help you overcome difficulties so you can develop your own powerful meditation practice.
Other things that I love include music, reading, writing, eating, travel and winter swimming.
